I Optimized My Mind and Quantum Leaped Into a New Reality in Just 30 Days—And You Can Too!
You’re ready to change your life the moment you decide you are. Here’s how it worked for me.
A friend asked me the other day if I’d read James Clear’s Atomic Habits. “No,” I said, and moved on to finish my sentence.
“What?!” she exclaimed, like I’d just shattered her grandma’s 1,000-year-old antique china.
“I told you before, I don’t read stuff like that. Anyway, where was I? Oh, yes—I was just saying how excited I was.”
“Really?! Do you think it’s any good?”
I’m starting to get annoyed, wondering if she’s ever going to let me finish. Spoiler: she didn’t.
Okay, let me give you some context.
My friend was made redundant two weeks ago from an admin job she’d held for the past nine years. I’m sure she was the best email replier/responder—or whatever her title was—but the company decided to replace their entire admin staff with chatbots. So, her once high-demand skills are no longer needed.
She’s smart, has a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, is a talented typist, and to top her repertoire of already once highly regarded skillsets, she’s also empathetic—at least empathetic enough to tell an irate customer on the other side of the world, “I’m so sorry, Sir, it really sucks that your order is delayed three weeks because it’s stuck in a warehouse in China, and FedEx lost it somewhere between the Irish border and Bangladesh. It’s not our fault, but I can genuinely, deeply, empathetically tell you—it sucks to be you.”
Rachael’s been following my writing journey for four years. She never paid any attention to it… until eight weeks ago, when she got the devastating news.
Being a good friend, I told her, “Just write about it!”
“People will pay to read a juicy story about how companies are getting rid of talented staff and replacing them with bots. Throw in some emotion, sprinkle in a few keywords, and I bet you’ll get featured in the news.” She laughed.
“What was the last thing that caught your attention while you were scrolling through your phone this morning?” I asked.
“I was reading about—”
“Hold that thought.”
Let me ask you the same thing I asked my friend: What was the last thing that grabbed your attention online?
I bet it was content—articles, news, videos, memes—anything. It all falls under the same umbrella: content.
Don’t get me wrong, building healthy habits is good. Planning for the future is even better. But how can you plan when someone unexpectedly decides your skills are obsolete? That you’re no longer valuable? That a machine can do in a nanosecond what used to take you an entire day?
No one planned for the rapid advancement of AI. No one planned that you could learn a new skill from watching some random guy on YouTube and land a $60k job by teaching yourself online.
So many things weren’t planned, and yet, they’re happening right in front of our eyes.
It’s not the habit that’s holding you back—it’s your mindset.
My friend is going through a breakdown. She’s not only feeling rejected by society, but it’s devastating to watch a thirty-eight-year-old with a young family having to start all over. I remember her getting that job. She went to college for two years to learn how to use spreadsheets and create cute presentations that a two-year-old can now do for free in Canva.
Back then, we both had our first babies. She landed a job with a reputable company and thought she was set for life. As for me, I quit my nursing job and set up a cake business.
Unlike me—who walks around holding my middle finger up to the system, voicing my concerns, and calling people out on their bullshit—Rachael is a good girl and a great addition to society. She’s up to date with her taxes and has never missed a payment on her TV license. BBC staff can thank people like Rachael for their cushty £300K payouts year after year.
Rachael believes she needs to build new habits to become valuable. I’m telling her, no!
Your habit is built the second you decide—that’s all. There’s no science to it.
It’s your mindset you need to work on. That’s what’s keeping you trapped.
Here’s how I know
Going back thirteen years, I was working two full-time jobs. By day, I was a Band 3 healthcare assistant working for the NHS, studying toward a nursing degree. By night, I worked for my friend’s domiciliary care agency, driving around and helping elderly people get ready for bed. Back then, I didn’t have kids. I put off having a family so I could build a solid future. Still, I was broke—financially, emotionally, and physically.
I did this for two years until I collapsed one day and was told that the stress had given me a strange type of disease. My illness got so out of control that it stopped me from going to work. Every time I got a bit worked up, my fingernails would turn orange, and I’d randomly pass out. My GP told me I had to quit my jobs and find a less stressful way to earn a living.
I had always dreamt of writing for a living. Thirteen years ago, however, that dream was only available to a select few.
Not to some foreign, five-foot-two blonde girl whose mother tongue wasn’t English. Back then, you had to graduate from a prestigious university with at least an upper-class degree in English Literature or Journalism just to publish a cake recipe.
But times have changed. The world is no longer just for the snobby few. Everyday people like you, Rachael, and me now have the chance to turn our luck around. And right now, thanks to the internet, it’s easier than ever before!
Both you and my friend could earn money from writing.
Okay, maybe Rachael will never make a penny from her words. But that’s down to her disinterest in the whole thing. She confessed that she doesn’t read—other than her daily horoscope and the next chapter preview for Coronation Street.
But I know you’re different, purely because you made it all the way here. It takes a special type of person in today’s world to read.
And if you read, you most likely write, too. And if you don’t write—I'm telling you, you need to start. NOW!
Because unlike many years ago, today, you only need four things to make a living from writing:
Mindset 💭
Visibility 👀
Attraction 💞
Conversion 💸
Four years ago, I started building a new dream. Everyone said I was crazy.
My naive belief in influencer talk almost killed this dream off. But after a cold, hard reality check, I realized the potential was there all along.
So, I stopped chasing shortcuts and started focusing on building something real. Step by step, I learned what it really takes to succeed: MINDSET, VISIBILITY, ATTRACTION, CONVERSION. It’s really that simple. And things began to change.
If you’re trying to create an income from writing online but haven’t seen results yet, join me for the $5K in 30 Days group workshop from October 2nd to October 30th. You’ll learn how to overcome the four culprits standing between you and earning your dream income from sharing your words.
I look forward to seeing you there! ⬇️
Your insights about mindset really resonated with me! Great article!
I should've read this before the first workshop but this added background and insight to who you are, so it was a great intro.
